A downloadable hot garbage for Windows and macOS

Have you ever wanted to play the Eggman Game from the "I Think You Should Leave" Netflix show? Well now you can! This is as reasonable an adaptation as I could muster. The goal of this game is to feed inanimate eggs to an anthropomorphic egg. You should really just watch the sketch on YouTube if you have a few minutes!

This game was created using Python and pygame, and compiled into an app for use with Apple machines (Windows version untested to date). This is my first ever project with any coding language at all, having started learning Python from YouTube tutorials and StackExchange over the past couple weeks! As such, I would love to hear feedback regarding any bugs. I hope you enjoy playing this game as much as I enjoyed creating it.

And for anyone who knows me and is reading this... please refer to this video as an offering in regards to why on earth I have decided to pursue this endeavor. I have not totally lost it just yet, but clearly I'm close.

Install instructions

Download the file according to your processor if using a Mac - there are options for the Intel and the M2 processors. Once downloaded, unzip the file, open the 'dist' folder and double click the app! If it does not open, it is likely because it is not directly from Apple's App Store. If so, go to: system preferences → privacy and security → scroll to bottom → choose to allow application to open. You can drag and drop into you Applications folder, if you so choose.

The Windows executable is an install wizard, and so should only require a double click. Note: I have been unable to test the Windows version to date - it was compiled using a Windows 10 virtual machine on my macbook.
